Connecting lawyers, campaigners and investigative journalists to unleash social change.
We build connections between public interest journalists, lawyers and campaigners to achieve change for those directly impacted by injustice.
We build connections between public interest journalists, lawyers and campaigners to achieve change for those directly impacted by injustice.
We provide a straightforward and practical means for lawyers, campaigners and journalists to connect with each other on issues, stories, and cases.
We have built a database of experts on social justice issues who wish to be connected with others.
So often lawyers are laser-focused on winning the case but may not use tools beyond the courtroom to reform the law or policy. We connect lawyers with journalists and campaigners to highlight injustice beyond the courts. The link to campaigners connects lawyers with claimants and new legal actions. The connection with journalists can help build public pressure around the case.
Public interest journalists may expose injustices but need to work with others to achieve impact beyond a headline. By connecting them with lawyers and campaigners, we provide journalists with case studies, new leads and ideas for their investigations.
Sometimes campaigners or those with direct experience of injustice aren’t aware of how litigation can be used as a tool for social change or lack connections to journalists to publicise their campaign. We connect campaigners with lawyers and journalists to both advance their goals and also link them with specialist legal representatives and journalists already working on their issues.
We accept applications from public interest journalists, lawyers and campaigners working on underreported social justice issues. Each application is considered by our administrative team on a case-by-case basis.
If you are a lawyer, journalist or campaigner working on a public interest issue, we’d like to hear from you.
Founded in 2023, Link for Change is a collaboration of three founder organisations, Law for Change. Breakthrough Impact and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
